Repair the Trend...

The trends that we wear,
The friends that we care;
The things very rare,
We think before we tear...

All the money that we own,
Each of our muscle & our bone;
The blood within that flows,
The fact that each of us knows;
Is here not to stay,
Will soon vanish in some way;
Few may sustain a bit longer,
The ones a bit stronger...

So eager are we to dream of things,
So high up we want to fly without wings;
So soon do we forget what we got,
So early do we think of next what not...

A thing or two we use,
We love them & also abuse;
With us does it run for a while,
Someday it suddenly stops with a smile...

Most often we do think to get the new,
Quite rare do we wish to renew;
Is there anything money can't buy,
We have enough to spend than to wait why...

No we are busy to check our phone,
Having a thousand friends we are still alone;
We have so many to click that like,
No we can’t even run without wearing a nike...

Can we not think before we dispose,
Can we fix it suppose;
Can we not invest sometime to repair,
Like the relationships we fight but still care...

It's time to think before we throw,
Even though we earn riches & we grow;
Can we not step up towards the unknown,
To try & learn things about the worn...

Trust me it would take a day, a week or a month or so,
Will make you learn much beyond what you already know;
Will make you change the way you see things around,
Will teach you the power of attempt you never found...

& then we keep talking about Go Green,
Do we just say or do we actually Mean;
The change needs to come from Within,
No victory without a fight is declared as Win…

Are we Ready to Change the Trend ?

Bleeding Truth

13th March was my birthday,
Had to choose a different way;
Decided to keep all priorities at bay,
& reach uphill Jeevdani Temple before yawns the morning ray…

Jumped off the bed at three,
Leaving alone my lazy routines free;
Let my sleepy eyes step out the door,
Reached the destination sharp at four…

Seeing the huge gates shut,
Was quite astonished but;
Looking at people waiting – sleeping at the door,
Again gazing at the majestic closed door;
Stepped to a man in blue,
Asking if he had any clue;
As to when will the gates unlock?
It was already four O’clock…

“Now” he replied,
My eyes glorified;
The screeching sound of the opening gate,
Ready to climb up ending up the wait…

Stepping up my foot ahead,
Not alone was I, sought of a group I led;
Dogs barking with joy,
Started playing without a toy…

Carrying a pumping heart,
Holding myself from falling apart;
Reaching up the divine,
Waiting at the shrine;
Wrapping up the curtain,
Relieving the uncertain;
Goddess Jeevdani lends us a sight,
Before flows down the gushing sunlight…

Instruments started to play,
As if the clouds were to dance;
Chants around the world,
Dipped in honey was every stance…

Praising loud the almighty,
A group of boys dragged along a goat;
Deafening cheer surrounded the hall room,
A sight difficult for me to note…

They came tearing away the crowd through,
Were given a passage even though the audience grew;
Masked murderers they seemed to be,
Greetings & Respect they got was surprising to see…

The goat with the group went to take blessings ahead,
My eyes were expecting a stain splash off bleeding red;
But the sight was not sought at the very site,
When I asked about it to a man in white;
The sacrifice was to be made down the hill,
Blank was I to hear it and stood still…

Are we so not a Man,
To believe in what we Can;
By killing others to Gain,
Being untouched by the Pain…

It’s time we Realize,
To learn to Sacrifice;
Not someone else’s blood will colour our Life,
We need to put ourselves under the so called “Knife”…

Are we ready to Bleed?

Overtaking Times

Driving on a road infected with traffic,
Travelling within an overcrowded train;
Hanging out of an overloaded bus,
Speeding our bike, ruining a pedestrian’s cloth with a spit of drain…

Cutting through our co-drivers lane,
Overstepping our co-passenger for a windowpane;
Getting into the crowd with push & pain,
Screaming, abusing and behaving insane…

0 –100(kmph) within a split second,
Riding through the lanes with a skew;
Broad, narrow, with slopes or bend,
Piercing out our vehicle through trucks extra-large two…

Are we doing this to buy some time,
Are we doing this to get into the light lime;
Are we doing this to impress a girl sitting behind,
Are we doing this to kill a pedestrian who’s kind…

What do we gain, what do we skip,
What do we kill, what do we rip;
What do we do when we cross a road,
What do we do to the drivers, killing people without a sword…

By doing the above, the ten minutes we save,
We reach early to office or back home being so rave;
At office we while away the same time for a cup of tea,
At home we start cribbing over the traffic, as if reaching home was an emergency…

One fine day, I took a pledge, not to exceed 40(kmph),
I reached office @ 10(am) back home at 7.40(pm);
The very same day I rode simple & straight,
Surprisingly reached 15 minutes earlier, instead of my myth that I would get late…

Request you all for an Early Start,
Than to rip off our own or someone’s Family Apart…

Preserving a Life is costlier than - losing a Penny being Late;
From sending someone to the Graveyard,
It’s cheaper to spend a minute of Wait…

Mind It ... !

Diamonds lying in your pocket,
Property filed in your docket;
Now you may see thieves all around,
Oh ! You might even feel afraid, within this huge walled compound...

The one who steals,
Sees cops everywhere;
The one who is guilty,
Gets conscious of every stare...

The modern royal prince,
Sees a slave in each man;
The one being a pauper says,
There's nothing what he can...

A student questions the world across,
A teacher teaches each one;
A wealthy becomes so averse to loss,
A struggler loses out all the fun...

An employee rated high,
Feels on top of the seventh sky;
An employee rated low,
Loses all his cheerful glow...

A human in pain,
Feels there's nothing left to gain;
A human with a smile,
Feels awaited all the while...

A suffering with a man,
Holds him back from what he can;
A medal around his neck,
Makes him cheer so loud on the deck...

We fear what we see as tough,
We jump into the shallow seen pool;
We fear the path which seems to be rough,
We jump off a high wall, just to bunk our school...

We fear the dark forest within a dense night,
We enjoy the same in Sun;
The leopards & the tigers are the same both time,
Think ! It might prove to be quite some fun...

Let's now question what we learn:

We think - What we see ?
OR We see - What we think ?

Not every Freedom owns a Flag

Freedom is what we celebrate,
Freedom is what we crave;
Freedom is much thought about,
Freedom is my question very naïve…

Free were the rivers caught by us in a dam,
Free were the forests & parrots so green;
Free were our expressions captured in a cam,
Free were our feet devoid of a cover rexine…

Free were the beggars who shared & ate,
Free were the docks before constructing a gate;
Free were the pigeons without a building around,
Free were the trees without a cemented compound…

Free were the city labour working on a field,
Free were the crops grown today only for yield;
Free were the hills before being cut for a road,
Free were the destination driven vehicles & the people onboard…

Free were the winds dancing before, now sliced by a blade of windmill,
Free were the rays of dawn before, reaching the sunrise point uphill;
Free were the droplets of unpolluted rain,
Free were the stones imprisoned to run the train…

We did this all for our own gain…

We are free & are equipped with an army on borders,
We have the court & a pen to pass all orders;
We have the Freedom to command & change,
We have the right to snatch “few things” in exchange ??
